Cheri Lattimer is the CEO and President of CMI, an innovative Consulting
and Management company providing outsourcing and advisory services
to the care management and health care industries. Cheri leads one of the
most creative
teams in the medical association and care management consulting industry.
She serves as the Executive Director for the Case Management Society
of America, the Executive Director for the Case Management Foundation and
is the Coalition
Director for the National Transitions of Care Coalition. Her leadership
in quality improvement, case management, care coordination and transitions
of
care is known on the national and international landscape. Additional

Since acquiring CMI
in 2006, Cheri has been proud to lead one of the most creative teams
in the medical association and care management consulting industry. Cheri
took
the helm
at CMI after a successful career developing advanced case management
practices. She saw an opportunity to help guide case management into the national
spotlight,
support the continued development of care management professionals and
increase the visibility of care managers.
As CEO, Cheri is responsible for the overall strategic direction of CMI.
In addition to this role, since 2006 she has served as the Executive Director
of the Case Management Society of America, overseeing the CMI team in implementing
the vision and direction of the CMSA Board of Directors. She is also the Coalition
Director for the National Transitions of Care Coalition (NTOCC). A sought
after industry thought leader, she participates on advisory panels for the
Society of Hospital Medicine supporting the Heart Failure Initiative, Glycemic
Control and the Better Outcomes for Older Adults Through Safe Transitions.
She also serves on the URAC Board and is a member of DMAA: The Care Continuum
Alliance and the Association College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
Cheri is a frequent lecturer on topics such as management of chronic and
high risk conditions, the role of case management, medication adherence, integrated
care management programs and information systems, transitions of care barriers
and concerns, and performance and outcome studies. In 2009 she was asked to
deliver the prestigious Anna Reynvaan Lecture at the University of Amsterdam
addressing 900 nurses from the Netherlands and Belgium on integrated nursing
health management of the complex patient. An RN with experience as an emergency
room nurse, the office and clinical supervisor of a family practice clinic,
program director for community health organizations, and vice president of
clinical services, she has also provided consulting services to national and
international health care programs. Cheri received her clinical training from
Good Samaritan Hospital and a BSN from the University of Phoenix. Prior to
coming to CMI, Cheri served as Executive Vice President, Clinical Services
at Health Integrated, Inc., Vice President Care Management Services at McKesson – Access
Health Solutions and Vice President of Medical Management for a physician
management services organization in Denver, Colorado.
